The President Theodore Roosevelt Collection is Live at the NRA Headquarters

As we told you earlier this week, the personal collection of President Theodore Roosevelt will soon go on display here at NRA Headquarters. Scheduled to open in late May or early June, the compilation contains countless treasures that once called Sagamore Hill home.

Until then, you will only be able to find those pieces in two specific locations … here on NRAblog and Thursday nights on NRANews.

Guns, mounts, art and Rough Rider gear make up the NRA Museum’s new Roosevelt Collection.

To open the Roosevelt series, Executive Producer John Popp sat with National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Phil Schreier to talk about the history. The history of the collection, of the President and how the National Rifle Association was lucky enough to win hosting duties while the National Park Service remodels Roosevelt’s family home.

You’ll get a glimpse of what’s in store … but just a glimpse. But believe me when I say it will wet your appetite for more.

For that glimpse of the Roosevelt Collection, John and Phil met April 26 at 10:40 eastern time to discuss what you’ll see and hear over the next few weeks on NRANews.com or Sirius/XM Patriot Satellite Radio. Listen to podcast by following this link. The discussion on the Roosevelt Collection begins just after the second half of the broadcast.
