Video: Florida Mullet Migration in Action

Have you ever witnessed Florida’s mullet migration? Of course, we mean the fish and not the geographic mobility of a certain hairstyle. Every October, swarms of these fish move along the Florida coast in a migration so massive that it can seem like the very ocean is boiling. The annual feast also draws in birds, tarpons, jacks, sharks, dolphins, and just about anything that loves a good fish dinner. When chased, mullet will explode out of the water and move in vast schools, creating a spectacle for any nearby anglers.
In the video below, a group of fishermen filmed the feeding frenzy as bull sharks and tarpon chase mullet across the rocky Florida coast. It’s definitely a must-see.
