Franz Albrecht Oettingen of Germany considers wild boar one of his favorite game animals—which is extremely unfortunate for the pigs. In this video taken from a driven boar hunt, Otettingen uses his .300 Win Mag rifle to great effect as he expertly drops boar after boar with unerring precision.
Considered one of the widest-ranging animals in the world, the wild boar is notorious for its adaptability and fast breeding cycle. The species was first introduced to North America in the early 1900s and in the span of a single century, wild pig populations have been established in 44 states with a national estimate for over five million. Boars are considered an invasive species in every state where they are found and in places like Texas, are quickly becoming unmanageable.
Perhaps Oettingen should consider moving to the United States?
