Video: Shooting a .500 Nitro Express Pistol Goes Exactly How You Would Expect

The .500 Nitro Express is an incredibly powerful round that was designed for hunting dangerous game in Africa. Traditionally the round is fired out of single-shot and double rifles, but this intrepid shooter appears to have a pistol chambered in the monster cartridge. As you might expect shooting a round with several thousand foot-pounds of energy out of a pistol is going to be hard to control. This even with his “tight” grip the pistol went flying backwards and almost hit him in the face. The gun knocked off his hearing protection, and he is just lucky he didn’t need stitches.
