When all you have is a stick, sometimes you just have to make do. According to The Independent, this volunteer forest warden recently confronted a leopard in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in an attempt to keep it away from nearby residents. The man suddenly found himself woefully underarmed as the big cat turned its attention to him and charged.
The warden was able to get a few good smacks on the leopard with a long stick before he fell backward. With the man seemingly at the cat’s mercy, bystanders were stunned when a rock came bouncing off the sand and into the back of the leopard’s head, making it hightail out of town. Whoever it was, the offscreen rock sniper may have very well saved this man’s life.
