Video: Elephant Seal’s “Theft” of Boat Gets Hilariously Interrupted

This video, which purportedly came from the British Antarctic Survey, gives us a glimpse into the lives of the men and women who work at the ends of the earth—and the terrors they face on a daily basis.

That apparently includes having your boat appropriated by an elephant seal.

In this video, a pair of Survey members approach their boat, only to find a giant seal is also waiting for them. After some verbal encouragement, the seal is dissuaded from more criminal pursuits. We can only imagine what might have happened if it resisted.
