Video: Homeowner Encounters Massive Bear Under Porch

We don’t know about you, but if we ever discovered that a large black bear had taken up residence under our home, the last thing we’d want to do is antagonize it. That being said, this homeowner did manage to get some fascinating video of a bruin in its unnatural habitat. Bears have a habit of repurposing things for their use, especially when it comes to shelter. There have been plenty of reports where bears have broken into cabins and homes and used them as makeshift dens, but nobody wants a bear under their porch.
This is not the first time this has happened to this specific homeowner. Last September they posted another video of what appeared to be the same bear, then in a brown color phase, also taking a nap under the porch.
Trash is generally one of the biggest factors for attracting bears, but sometimes the animals will frequent a home for little to no reason. In those cases, wildlife officials will have to either relocate the bear or put it down. Still, keeping your home free of attractants is the best way to avoid an undesired visit from a bear, for their own good as much as yours.
