Yes, this YouTube video has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, but thanks to Throwback Thursday we have an excuse to talk about it again.
Witnessing the natural predator/prey relationships in the wild can be WILD. At times it’s difficult to keep track of each animal’s place on the food chain, but in the case of an orca and a seal, the positions are quite clear. Simply watch and enjoy.
P.S. Some scientists believe this killer whale is punting the seal as a way to stun it before actually eating it. Seals have sharp claws and teeth, and they have been known to harm hungry orcas that underestimate them. Click here for the rest of the story.
