Catfish Falls From the Sky, Slams Woman in the Face While Walking Down the Street

Everybody knows the drill when they see birds flying over their head, take cover and avoid looking up in case a bird decides to drop a little present your way.

A woman in Philadelphia was recently the victim of one of these flyover droppings, but it was not what you might expect. Walking down the street Labor Day morning, she heard a peculiar rustling in the trees above her. She looked up to see, and was greeted by a 5-pound catfish slamming her in the face. Witnesses said they saw a hawk or possibly an eagle flying away laughing.

Alright, I added the laughing part, but who wouldn’t chuckle at something like that?

The woman told CBS Philly she can see the humor in it now, although “it could have been so much worse.” “What if it hit a child? It was not a fun experience, but there are so many worse things that could have happened. It’s probably one of the strangest things that have happened to me in my life.”

As strange and rare as this may seem, it’s not the first time animals have come raining down from the sky.
