Bushnell Outdoors to Launch PowerSync Portable Power Line
OutdoorHub 08.02.12
Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry-leader in high performance sports optics and outdoor accessories for more than 60 years, is launching a new portable power product line to give outdoor enthusiasts the ability to power their adventures and recharge on the go. Available in January 2013, the Bushnell PowerSyncTM line will include both solar and battery-powered portable charging devices.
Designed for the outdoor adventurer, each PowerSync product is lightweight and compact, yet durably designed for long-term reliability and performance. With both solar and battery-powered products, the PowerSync line possesses rapid charge capabilities, enabling users to charge devices such as MP3 players, smart phones, cameras and tablets in as little as two hours.
The PowerSync solar line includes three product options, and each is constructed with patented solar technology featuring amorphous silicon film. Unlike monocrystalline or polycrystalline solar technologies, the amorphous film is extremely lightweight, pliable and durable. Each solar cell operates independently, so damage to one cell won’t interrupt the performance of the device. In addition, PowerSync solar technology outperforms other solar platforms when full sunlight isn’t available, making it one of the most efficient personal solar platforms on the market.
The PowerSync battery line is designed to give travelers and adventure-goers a pre-planned power source before that upcoming trip or off-grid adventure. With four products in the family, and charge times that range from two to four hours, there is a PowerSync device for every excursion.
Built with simplicity in mind, each product in the PowerSync family includes everything necessary to recharge on the go. The PowerSync solar devices and three of the battery devices include lithium ion batteries. The final product in the battery line includes four high-capacity nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) AA rechargeable batteries, which can be used with the PowerSync to recharge other devices or as a convenient battery backup. Both PowerSync product lines – solar and battery – possess quick charge circuitry, powering devices such as MP3 players, smart phones, cameras and tablets with up to 48 hours of battery life in as little as two hours of charge time.
The Bushnell PowerSync portable power line will be available in January 2013 at retailers nationwide.
