Thousands of kids and women are introduced to shooting annually through NRA Day training camps, Youth Hunter Education Challenge events, and the Women’s Wilderness Escape. The Henry guns will be used in these venues, as well as in instructor training for major groups like the Boy Scouts, 4-H and the National High School Rodeo Association –all of which conduct youth shooting education programs. A few will also be offered in the popular “Gift Giveaway” on NRAhuntersrights.org.
“Making sure our participants and instructor candidates have quality-built firearms is critically important to these programs,” said Larry Quandahl, Manager of NRA’s Youth Programs Department. “We are very grateful to Henry for their continued generosity. Their support contributes greatly to the growth of the shooting sports.”
Henry’s support of NRA is not limited to firearms donations. In June 2010, the company even hosted the first-ever Friends of NRA banquet held at a firearms manufacturing plant.
Commenting on the donation, Henry President Anthony Imperato said, “Henry Repeating Arms will continue to support and promote youth shooting sports to the best of our ability—you can count on that with my personal guarantee.”
Guns on the list include 50 Lever Action Youth models, 90 Acu-Bolts, and 10 Mini Bolts.
