Season 2 of Award-Winning “RMEF Team Elk” Begins Thursday

“RMEF Team Elk,” the reigning Fan Favorite New Series on Outdoor Channel, returns to the airwaves for its second season on Thursday, June 28, at 10:00 a.m. (ET) with an adrenaline-filled elk hunt in the high country.

“Our first hunt, called ‘Opening Day,’ takes place in Utah towards the end of August,” said host Brandon Bates. “It’s a pretty amazing place. Everything that early in the year feels so unique. There is nothing that can replace or come close to the feeling of the first hunt of the year. It’s more than special.”

“This hunt is one that will always be one of my most memorable moments while elk hunting,” added Bates. “I did something on this hunt that took me a really long time to do. I could tell you but I want everyone to watch the show and find out why this hunt meant so much to me.”
Presented by MidwayUSA, each of the 13 “RMEF Team Elk” episodes will air three times weekly: Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. (ET), Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. (ET) and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. (ET).

“RMEF Team Elk” represents a nationwide RMEF membership of more than 184,000. The series delivers RMEF’s mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat to 34 million households per week with a theme of “Hunting is Conservation.”

Future episodes include country music singer Easton Corbin, racing legend Johnny Unser Jr., outdoor personalities Cameron Hanes and Kristy Titus, and other RMEF members from all walks of life.

“I think everyone on the team is at a maximum anticipation level about season 2,” said Bates. “It’s not just me, but a lot of people within the RMEF that spend countless hours focusing on this show. We lose sleep worrying about things being perfect and making sure the viewer understands the importance of the relationship between elk, land and the camaraderie between fellow hunters and conservationists.”
