ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent

One major drawback of camping, fishing and hunting in the late summer and fall months is the persistent plague of mosquitoes, no-see-ums, and black flies that inevitably accompany any camping, hunting or fishing trip. Another increasing concern with being in the outdoors has been the recent outbreaks of the West Nile virus, with over five thousand cases reported across the country this year alone. Tami and I have field tested the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent over the last several months and have found it to be an effective answer to these problems making our outdoor excursions more enjoyable.
I found the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent to be compact, long-lasting and easy to use. It is powered by a small disposable butane cartridge that provides portable heat that activates a small patch that you insert into the front of the device. There are no open flames with the ThermaCELL; the butane cartridge heats a small metal plate under the patch which activates the repellent.
The repellent is odorless, quiet and will not harm humans or pets when used properly. Insect spray and lotions do work, but the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent alleviates the need to use repellents on your clothes and body and is DEET free.
When used properly, the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent repels up to 98 percent of mosquitoes and black flies, and will protect a fifteen by fifteen foot area. You can also purchase an appliance holster from ThermaCELL that will allow you to clip the appliance onto your belt, backpack, boat or camp chair you can get it with either a clip or a strap and buckle.
It really worked. I felt like it made a very noticeable difference in the mosquitoes and black flies during our camping, fishing and hunting trips.
