Chinook and Coho Salmon Regulation Changes for the State of Oregon

Marine Zone
The Central Coast area from Cape Falcon just north of Manzanita to Humbug Mountain near Port Orford:
- Non-selective coho season open from Sept. 1 through earlier of Sept. 10 or 5,900 coho quota with a limit of two salmon.
The Columbia River area, from Leadbetter Point, Wash., to Cape Falcon:
- Non-selective chinook and selective coho season open June 26 through Sept. 30 or until a 7,400 chinook and 33,600 selective coho quota is reached. The bag limit is two salmon per day, but no more than one can be a chinook from Aug. 14 – 28, and closed to chinook retention from Aug. 29 – Sept. 30. All retained coho must have a healed adipose fin clip.
