NWTF Announces Chevy Truck, Kentucky Elk Tag Winners

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — Billy Graham of Lascassas, Tenn., and Thomas Horton from Ahoskie, N.C., were recently announced as grand-prize winners in two separate, nationwide drawings held by the NWTF.

Graham won a 2011 Chevrolet 4×4 truck and Horton won a rare tag for a trophy bull elk hunt in Kentucky. The elk hunt includes lodging and will be guided by Sam Mars III, NWTF National Board of Directors vice president.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our partners in providing these giveaways,” said Danny Young, NWTF vice president of marketing. “Chevrolet, a longtime supporter of conservation and the NWTF, donated the new truck that we know Mr. Graham will love driving. We truly appreciate Molpus Timberlands Management, LLC, which generously donated the elk tag that will provide Mr. Horton the hunt of a lifetime.”

The winners were announced Aug. 21 at the NWTF’s 18th annual Turkey Shoot, a sporting clays tournament held at The Meadows National Gun Club in Forsyth, Ga.

Founded in 1973, the NWTF is dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage.

Through dynamic partnerships with state, federal and provincial wildlife agencies, the NWTF and its members have helped restore wild turkey populations across the country, spending more than $372 million to conserve 17 million acres of habitat for all types of wildlife.

The NWTF works to increase interest in the outdoors by bringing new hunters and conservationists into the fold through outdoor education events and its outreach programs – Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin’ Sportsmen, JAKES and Xtreme JAKES.
