Smith & Wesson Receives Two National Guard and Reserve Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. September 21, 2011 — Smith & Wesson Corp., announced today that the company was recently honored with two awards from the National Guard and Reserve – the “Above and Beyond Award” and the “Patriot Award.” The awards were presented to Smith & Wesson by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard (ESGR) during a special ceremony at the company’s headquarters.
As part of the ESGR awards program, the “Above and Beyond Award” and the “Patriot Award” recognize employers who have a strong track record of outstanding service and continuing support to the national defense. Employers receive the award based on leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve.
