Don’t Miss Free Hunting and Fishing Day Events in Concord and Holderness, New Hampshire on Sept. 24

Concord, N.H. — The N.H. Fish and Game grounds at 11 Hazen Drive in Concord will be transformed into a giant outdoor sporting expo from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on National Hunting and Fishing Day, September 24, 2011. Admission is free. Visit more than 80 exhibits featuring hunting and fishing-related products and services, and enjoy many demonstrations and activities for visitors. Support for the event is being provided by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, Weatherby Foundation, Green’s Marine, Bonneville & Son Jeep and 96.5 The Mill.
Also on Saturday, enjoy a fun day with hands-on activities related to the shooting sports, hunting and trapping at a public Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the N.H. Fish and Game Department’s Owl Brook Hunter Education Center at 387 Perch Pond Road in Holderness, N.H. Special activities during the event include a chance to try Owl Brook’s practice archery range and 3-D woodland archery course, as well as trying different firearms and shooting clays. Admission is free.
