Hill Wins Walmart Bass Fishing League Choo Choo Division on Lake Guntersville

WHAT: Boater Rodney A. Hill of Decherd, Tenn., caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 29 pounds, 5 ounces Sept. 24-25 to win $5,997 in the Walmart BFL Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville. Hill was using a Carolina Rig and fishing grass ledges on Goose Pond to catch his bass.

WHAT: Jett Loach of Ringgold, Ga., caught a two-day total of seven bass weighing 23 pounds, 7 ounces Sept. 24-25 to win $2,999 in the Co-angler Division. Loach fished grass mats and used a Snag Proof Frog to catch his bass.

NOTES: The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Nov. 3-5 Regional Championship on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
