New Jersey’s Bear Permit Award Pickup Period Extended

The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is informing those awarded bear permits in the lottery who were unable to pick them up before the deadline that the Award Pickup Period has been extended until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, November 16. A computer error resulted in the pickup period closing earlier than the actual deadline.
Because of this issue, the Over the Counter Sales of leftover and unclaimed permits will now begin at 10:00 am on Monday, November 21. The division apologizes for the inconvenience and any confusion.
