Finalists for “Best Clip” Awards Announced in Only Viewer-Decided Awards in Outdoor TV Industry

New Berlin, WI  Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is proud to announce the “Best Clip Award” finalists for the 2011 Sportsman Choice Awards, the network’s viewer-decided awards program. The “Best Clip” finalists were narrowed to a field of five by Sportsman Channel, but the final say goes to channel viewers, who will have the opportunity to cast their votes beginning on November 28th. All shows and show hosts airing on the network in 2011 were eligible.

The categories under “Best Clip” awards are: Best Show Intro, Fish of the Year, Animal of the Year, Shot of the Year and Moment of the Year.

“Sportsman Channel offers the only viewer-decided awards in our space and with the best-in-class programs available, the process is one of the most extensive,” said Todd Hansen, Sportsman Channel COO. “We are incredibly proud of these finalists and look forward to seeing who the viewers decide should walk across the stage in January.”

Finalists are listed below:

  • Best Show Intro: BackCountry Quest, Pig Man: The Series, RNT-V, The Bear Whisperer and The Fowl Life with Chad Belding
  • Fish of the Year: BackCountry Quest, Brotherhoods Outdoors, Fly Rod Chronicles, Fly Fishing the World and In-Fisherman TV
  • Animal of the Year: A Hunter’s Life, Easton Bowhunting, Solo Hunters, The Zone, Whitetail Properties
  • Shot of the Year: Christensen Outdoors, G3 Sportsman, Into the High Country with Jason Matzinger, Long Range Pursuit, Territories Wild,
  • Moment of the Year: Africa with Craig Boddington and Ivan Carter, Family Traditions with Haley Heath, On Your Own Adventures, Savage Outdoors, Where in the World is Colorado Buck?

Viewers will be able to vote on Sportsman’s Facebook page (http://facebook.com/sportsmanchannel) starting on Monday, November 28. Voting will close on Sunday, December 11 at midnight.

The 2011 Awards will be announced in January at the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, NV.
