For the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Woolrich worked with Jeff Thrope, from the outdoor site Cold Splinters, to create visuals for its award winning trade show booth (19001-20001).
“We have long been fans of Cold Splinters,” said Steven Fuller, Woolrich Menswear Designer. “Jeff brings a rich and genuine viewpoint to the outdoors that fits so well with our brand.”
Using the color palette from the Woolrich Spring 2013 Collection, Thrope developed a number of outdoor themed backgrounds for the large window boxes around the booth.
“Cold Splinters and Woolrich are such a great and obvious fit,” said Thrope. “I admire how they’ve been able to keep the look and feel of a heritage brand while never losing relevance in the outdoor space. Not an easy task.”
Interpretive images of trailers, fire pits, wildlife and camping scenes create a backdrop to highlight the best of the Woolrich Spring 2013 Collection.
The 2013 collection features a color palette of bright pastels contrasted with rich earthy outdoor hues. Headlining the men’s collection is the Tectonic Shirt that features signature Woolrich style with bias cut fabric, contrast stitching, and bar tacking. Made with lightweight, quick-drying Cocona fabric, the shirt allows flexibility and comfort at work or at play. The Tectonic is available in colorways Avocado, Mushroom, and Ocean and will be available in January 2013. MSRP: $69.
A stand-out in the women’s collection for Spring 2013 is the Windwood Dress that offers sophisticated style that is tailored to fit and flatter. Gathered at the neck and back yoke, the quick-dry dress is wrinkle resistant and packs light. Front snap closures and a shirttail hem reflect Woolrich’s classic, timeless style that is simple and always functional. The 100 percent Boulder-Washed Dress features nylon pigmented ripstop fabric for long lasting wash and wear comfort. The Windward Dress will be offered in black and shale and will be available in January 3013. MSRP: $65
At the 2012 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, Woolrich won the overall Best of Booth Award from SNEWS. The booth for the winter show included imagery from the companyís archives merchandised with historic objects from the companyís woolen mill, which is the oldest continually operated woolen mill in the United States.
