Whether they take to big water in the upper Midwest or a popular southern reservoir, families that live the boating lifestyle want the most out of their time on the water. The new Ranger 1850LS gives families the option of fishing in the morning, water sports in the afternoon and pleasure cruising in the evening, all in a single rig that offers unparalleled features and performance.
Measuring 18 feet, 8 inches, the Ranger 1850LS is rated for 175 horsepower and available with a host of precision-matched, factory-rigged outboards. A continuation of Ranger’s incredibly popular and highly acclaimed 1850RS, this modern incarnation delivers a do-it-all boat with increased space, stability and must-have features to enhance comfort and storage.
The all new 1850LS brings a wider, deeper design complete with new styling and modern aesthetics. The interior is highlighted by redesigned seating with premium marine upholstery, an all new console and refined details throughout, including gear and tackle organizers, cup holders in the cockpit and the bow as well as more spacious depthfinder configurations. The deep-vee, walk-through windshield design allows for significant storage capacity to be built into the deck and cockpit areas, highlighted by the drop-in/drop-out rod storage system, which converts the center ski and rod storage area into a dedicated rod box capable of housing rods in excess of 7 feet. Additional rod storage can be found in the portside gunnel, with even more storage under the front deck bench seat and at the bow.
An insulated cooler and baitwell are also forward of the windshield, where a folding deck extension can turn the custom-fitted, premium bench seating area into a fully functioning front deck designed for serious fishing. At the rear, the carpeted deck space has been increased for even more available fishing room. Other popular features include a Sirius Satellite-ready Sony stereo/CD player and speakers as well as removable cockpit carpet and a built-in ski tow, boarding ladder and space for a kicker motor at the stern.
At the helm, the Ranger 1850LS features a new console designed to provide room to flush mount large-screen electronics along with multi-function gauges and a new membrane style switching system. The 1850LS also comes standard with a Minn Kota 70 Power Drive trolling motor, dual on-board charger and a Lowrance Mark-5X Pro mounted at the console. Bimini tops are available as a custom option.
“Meeting the specific needs of each member of the family can place a lot of expectations on a crossover boat like the 1850LS,” said Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper. “First and foremost, this boat fishes like a Ranger should, with plenty of stability and fishing features. But if you’re pulling tubes and skiers or just taking a sunset ride around the lake, this boat is just as well suited and is why so many families gravitate towards this design.”
The 1850LS comes paired with a custom-built, single-axle RangerTrail trailer. Designed to ideally match the boat for smooth, easy towing and maneuvering, the 1850’s RangerTrail trailer is equipped with a Road Armor finish, LED lights, aluminum wheels and a COOL Hub® lubrication system as standard equipment. Designed and built in the same factory to the same, exacting standards as all Ranger boats, RangerTrail trailers are custom aligned with individually balanced wheels, equipped with torsion axle suspensions and locking, swing-away tongues. With matching fiberglass fenders and full-size spare, the 1850LS’s RangerTrail trailer delivers remarkable peace of mind when trailering and complements the striking good looks of the boat.
