Bama Boys Johnson & Dixon Win LBAA Charity Event on Neely Henry

Two of Gadsden, Alabama’s finest anglers Andrew Johnson and Jake Dixon bested the rest of the field in today’s Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Alabama to claim the $1,000 cash first place prize. Johnson and Dixon caught a limit of five bass weighing 13.21 pounds from the waters of Lake Neely Henry to capture today’s victory.
Johnson and Dixon had just enough weight to get by LBAA co-angler veteran Diana Uebelhack and her husband Dennis of Mt. Vernon, Indiana who had 12.86-pounds of bass. The Uebelhack’s also won the cash incentive for being the highest placing team with a woman team member.
Kenny Pannell and grandson Logan Henderson captured the extra cash incentive for being the highest placing team with a child age 12 or under.
Big bass for today’s event was caught by the team of Bill Spicer and Kelly Marchal. Their big bass weighed in at 4.36-pounds.
Today’s charity tournament and accompanying raffle netted $1,258 dollars that went to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Alabama. Chief Professional Officer Pam Dawson of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Alabama was on hand to receive the tournament proceeds for her organization.
