American Tackle Company Welcomes Ben Stein to Sales Department
OutdoorHub 02.01.12
Ben Stein (yes, that’s his real name) is the newest addition to the American Tackle staff. Please help us welcome him as he will be assisting in our sales department.
Ben grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and began fishing at a very young age for redfish and speckled trout in the saltwater marshes of Lafitte, La. Ben started fly fishing at the age of 7 with his first fly-caught redfish. This passion has carried him to exotic destinations such as Baja, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela and Costa Rica, as well as traveling throughout the United States in search of all angling opportunities from chasing trout to battling billfish. While pursuing bonefish and tarpon, he managed to find enough time to work for World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada, Florida. After a move to Orlando to work for Bass Pro Shops, he was commissioned by Grande Lakes Ritz Carlton Orlando to assist in developing a fishing and outdoor program on the property. Ben began the first ever two-day fly fishing school associated with the Ritz Carlton and has taught hundreds (maybe thousands) in their fly fishing program as well as guiding them to trophy largemouth bass. He now spends time fishing the renowned Indian River and Mosquito Lagoons and just about any other body of water in the Central Florida area that looks “fishy.” We are excited to have Ben be part of our team.
