Revealed: 48-inch Legend Ice Fishing Rod

St. Croix pro staff Tony Boshold revealed the 48-inch Legend Ice Rod today at the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers annual conference in Branson, Missouri. This rod features the patented built-in strike indicator system developed by Gene Wilczynski, a medalist in world ice fishing competitions. The indicator allows anglers to see even the lightest bites well before it can be felt. Legend Ice Rods are available in ten different models and can be paired with four different interchangeable spring indicators.

Upon being handed the rod this morning at breakfast, Tony said,”YES! I have a reel in my suitcase I packed just in case I’d get to fish this rod. I worked with St. Croix last winter to test prototypes live on the ice and it’s great to see the end result of all of the time and effort put in on this project.”

I filmed Tony talking about the new 48-inch Legend Ice Fishing Rod this morning. Watch the video below to see just how excited he is about this rod.
