ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours Will ‘Send A Teacher Traveling’

Fort Collins, CO– ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours, which in 1972 became the first North American tour company to offer pedal tours in Europe (http://www.experienceplus.com/), announces its Send A Teacher Traveling (S.A.T.T.) Awards recognizing outstanding U.S. public school teachers and rewarding them with a complimentary bike tour.
Applications must be postmarked or emailed to tours@experienceplus.com by March 30, 2012. Applicants will explain why they should receive a free bicycle tour and how she/he will use the S.A.T.T. experience in their classroom curriculum. “We believe that public school teachers are the nation’s most important human resource,” said Maria Elena Price,ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours co-owner. She added that when teachers engage in active, educational travel opportunities, their students benefit as well.
Monica and Maria Elena Price, current owners of ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours, and their parents who founded the company, Rick and Paola Malpezzi-Price, educators themselves, will assist in picking the winner.
The program began in 1996 and has given away over 20 free bicycle tours across Europe and Latin America to outstanding teachers nationwide.
