OutdoorHub 09.27.12
A public hearing on proposed amendments to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Wildlife Management Area rules will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the N.H. Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H.
The Fish and Game Department is proposing to readopt and amend various rules related to WMAs, including proposals to:
- Amend the list of lands considered to be wildlife management areas (WMA) by adding or deleting various properties;
- Split up the current rules relative to restrictions applicable to all WMAs into 3 separate sections: one on definitions, one on restrictions applicable to all WMAs, and one related to special use permits for certain activities on WMAs. It also amends the rule relative to dogs on fish and game lands to expand the rule to apply to all dogs, not just dog training.
- Readopt and amend various administrative rules related to Owl Brook Hunter Education Center.
