Chad Wienen Wins 2012 Montreal Monster Energy Supermotocross

Chad Wienen continues his successful 2012 ATV racing year by sneaking a win in Canada at the 2012 Montreal Monster Energy Supermotocross in Montreal, Canada.  Last year’s ATV winner Richard Pelchat was hoping for a second consecutive win, but he had to settle for fifth place. American Chad Wienen was the race spoiler easily winning ahead of Thomas Brown by nearly eight seconds. Third place went to Josh Creamer, followed by fellow American John Natalie in what has been a continuation of this year’s rivalries.

Charles-Antoine Villeneuve Wins in Side-by-Side racing. Charles-Antoine Villeneuve jumped out to a great start in the Side-By-Side race and never looked back. This was Villeneuve’s first Supermotocross win. Villenueve who finished fourth in the final Quebec championship standings, he led hometown favorite Eric Paquin. Didier Raby finished third making the podium an all Polaris affair.

Matt Goerke Repeats as MX1 class winner
Californian Matt Goerke, last year’s MX1 class Supermotocross winner, ran away from the field to win his second successive title. The real racing was between the second and third place riders. Riders exchanged positions on every lap for the first nine of the 12-lap affair before settling for the next two with Bobby Kiniry in second place behind Goerke, Kentucky native Tyler Bowers was third, followed by Teddy Maier and Tyler Madelia. On the last jump leading to the checkered flag, Bowers passed Kiniry in midair to finish second behind winner Matt Goerke. A disappointed Kiniry could not believe his eyes with Bowers jumping pass at the finish line. Maier, Klatt and Medaglia followed Kiniry.
