Elk hunters can improve their elk hunting knowledge by attending a free Colorado Parks and Wildlife seminar Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in Colorado Springs.
The seminar is a way to learn how and where to hunt elk and increase the odds of being successful. “We will cover elk biology, elk management, regulations, hunting seasons, methods of take, licensing, hunting tips and hunting resources,” said CPW terrestrial biologist Brian Dreher.
Beginning hunters and those with limited elk hunting experience will get the most from the clinic.
“The seminar has a lot to offer in terms of improving hunting skills, how to find quality hunting areas, and how to make sure you have a safe, successful hunt. Our goal is to help hunters enjoy their experience in the field, and provide an introduction to those who want to learn more about elk hunting,” said Dreher.
Class size is limited. Call 719-227-5200 to pre-register.
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife office in Colorado Springs is located at 4255 Sinton Rd., just southeast of I-25 and Garden of the Gods Rd.
