Mississippi WMA Waterfowl Draw Hunts Available on October 15th

MDWFP will begin taking applications for waterfowl draw hunts on five Wildlife Management Areas (WMA’s) on October 15th. These five WMAs are: Charlie Capps WMA, Howard Miller WMA, Mahannah WMA, Muscadine Farms WMA, and Sky Lake WMA.

Similar to last year, there will be five waterfowl application periods that will run consecutively. Each application period will be open for 2 weeks, except for the first application period which will run from Oct. 15 – Nov. 4. The second application period will be open from Nov. 5 – Nov. 18, third application period from Nov. 19 – Dec. 2, fourth application period from Dec. 3 – Dec. 16 and the fifth application period from Dec. 17 – Dec. 30.

Additionally, Trim Cane and Tuscumbia WMAs will offer draw hunts. Applications for Trim Cane and Tuscumbia WMAs will begin on November 5th.
