Seasonal Lake Level Change for Michigan’s Hamlin Lake to Begin Oct. 22

The Department of Natural Resources today announced that Ludington State Park in Mason County will, on Monday, Oct. 22, begin the annual process of lowering Hamlin Lake to its winter level.

It is anticipated the process will take two to four weeks, depending upon precipitation during the period. The inter level is maintained at approximately 2 feet below the summer level and is necessary to control ice damage and erosion. For more information, contact the park at 231-843-2423.
