Arizona Game and Fish Helps Celebrate Arizona’s Centennial

2012 is the centennial year for Arizona, which became the nation’s 48th state on Feb. 14, 1912.

To help commemorate our state’s 100th birthday, the Arizona Game and Fish Department is taking a year-long look at the history of wildlife management through the pages of Arizona Wildlife Views magazine. The award-winning magazine will include a historical article about the state’s wildlife and wildlife management efforts in every issue this year.

Become a subscriber, and hear about a time when deer were as abundant as rabbits, find out why there are so many fishing opportunities on the Mogollon Rim, explore the colorful history of the state’s first fish hatcheries … and more. If you want to know all about Arizona and its wildlife, join the Arizona Wildlife Views family.
