Texas Bison Association Holds Bison Ranch Workshop

Preserving the legend of American buffalo, the Texas Bison Association (TBA) announces it will hold a Bison Ranch Workshop on Oct. 26, 2012 through Oct. 27, 2012, at the Katerra Buffalo Company in Katy, Texas. The ‘Texas Bison Advantage Ranch Workshop’ will demonstrate working live bison through a handling facility, provide helpful information about raising bison and offer a fun networking opportunity for new and experienced bison ranchers.
The event kicks off with a social event on Friday evening at the Springhill Suites in Katy, Texas. The Saturday workshop will feature seminars on bison handling, health care, marketing and fencing. Plus, attendees can see first-hand how Katerra Buffalo Company works its bison herd.
“The bison industry is booming in Texas, and we’re very excited to offer this new workshop to help new bison producers learn efficient and humane methods for growing and managing their herds,” says Charles Addington II, president for the Texas Bison Association.
