Montana’s Pine Grove Pond Will Close November 1

Pine Grove Pond, a family fishing pond and access area, will close to the general public for the season on November 1. According to FWP Fisheries Manager Jim Vashro, the pond and access, located near Rose Crossing on the outskirts of Kalispell, has hosted many thousands of angler days over the spring and summer. Hooked on Fishing classes will continue to use the pond throughout the year.
“This continues to be a great gift to anglers in the Flathead, and we are thankful Robin Street and his family created such a wonderful place for family fishing,” says Vashro.
The closure is necessary because of access road safety with the coming of snow and ice. Ice formation on the spring-fed pond will also be unpredictable and potentially unsafe.
The pond and access area will re-open this spring.
