SIG SAUER Hits the “Slim-Nine” Market with the Revamped SIG P290RS in December Issue of GUNS Magazine

The SIG P290RS adorns the cover of the GUNS Magazine December issue, with contributing editor Massad Ayoob appreciating the Re-Strike capabilities and accuracy of SIG SAUER’s completely redesigned addition to the “slim-nine” market.
“We have in the SIG P290RS a pocketsize 9mm that needs to make no apologies at all in terms of accuracy,” Ayoob writes. “This handy little 20.5-ounce 7-shooter is a definite contender in the currently hot niche of subcompact 9mm carry pistols.”

“Three-shot groups at 100 yards of around .6” to .7” were routine. Frankly, I’d have been astonished by any other result — I have yet to see a Model 700 that wasn’t accurate,” Anderson reveals. “As anniversary models go, the Remington 50th Anniversary 700 rifle is both an appropriate tribute to a great rifle, and a very nice hunting rifle.”
