West Virginia State Park Lodges are Open

Hawks Nest State Park, located in Ansted (Fayette County), and Twin Falls Resort, situated between Mullens and Pineville (Wyoming County), have both reported that power and phone service have been restored to the park lodges.
“This is good news for recovery crews needing housing in the area as well as park managers accommodating guests and visitors,” said West Virginia State Parks Chief Ken Caplinger. “The monumental task of clearing trees from some roadways and the hiking trail system continues.”
The lodge at Pipestem Resort State Park in Summers County, the lodge and vacation cabins at Cacapon Resort State Park in Morgan County and North Bend State Park in Ritchie County also are open.
The lodge and restaurant at Twin Falls are open, but the cabins and campground areas remain closed. The main road entrance to Twin Falls has been cleared and is open, but the back road remains closed due to trees and obstructions.
