In an effort to grow the laser sight market among more price-sensitive consumers, Crimson Trace will launch the DEFENDER SERIES line of red laser sights at the 2012 NASGW show in Orlando, Florida tomorrow. Featuring MSRP prices between $129 and $149, the initial product offering features units designed to fit Smith & Wesson and Taurus revolvers, as well as Glock, Ruger and XDm semi-autos. Engineered and assembled with quality components at CTC’s Wilsonville, Oregon facilility, DEFENDER SERIES products will be available for initial shipment to dealers starting December 15, 2012.
DEFENDER SERIES products feature cutting edge designs combined with superior technology and affordability to provide the performance consumers have come to expect from Crimson Trace. Initially, Defender Series (DS) laser sights will be offered with Accu-Grips platforms for the Smith & Wesson J-Frame and Taurus M85 revolvers starting at $149, and Accu-Guard platforms for Ruger LCP, Glock and Springfield XDm pistols with an MSRP at $129.
DEFENDER SERIES laser sights are designed with Beam Lock Technology that allows for precise windage and elevation adjustments so that the user can zero the sight to their chosen ammunition, and offer the most powerful laser diode allowed by law. Accu-Guard sights fit around the trigger guard of semi autos, and Accu-Grip products replace the stocks of revolvers – no gunsmithing is required. This ensures consistent, dead-on accuracy no matter the size of the gun or its sight radius, allowing even novice shooters to confidently hit their target under difficult low light conditions. All-new N-Gage activation easily and intuitively provides the user a best-in-class method of accessing and activating the laser. Just as importantly, all DEFENDER SERIES products are supported by Crimson Trace’s industry-leading customer service and are manufactured in the USA.
“As the leader of the laser sight category, we recognize the need to continually offer products that will grow the market and provide options for value-oriented consumers,” said Kent Thomas, Director of Marketing for CTC. “When it comes to self-defense handguns, a laser should be considered an essential part of every firearm – as important as reliable ammunition,” said Thomas. “The Defender Series is, without a doubt, “Best in Class” and gives responsible firearm owners an economical way to equip themselves with the advantage needed to protect themselves, their homes and families,” he added.
