Late in duck season, the ducks at Reelfoot Lake near Tiptonville, Tennessee, know all the games duck hunters play. Flying 1/4- to 1/2-mile up in the air, many of these ducks are so well-educated that they can tell you the brand of call the duck hunter is blowing when they hear it. By now they know where most hunters set-up their blinds, what their decoy spreads look like and which areas to avoid where hunting in their War Eagle Boats. If you want to take a limit of late-season ducks, you often have to change your blind site, switch out your decoy spread and change your calling. Billy Blakely of Blue Bank Resort (www.bluebankresort.com) on Reelfoot Lake will show us how to talk to late-season ducks.
