Montana Mountain Lion Seasons to Close in Hunting Districts 317 and 560

The hunting of all mountain lions in two Montana hunting districts, 317 and 560 will close at one-half hour after sunset on November 15, 2012:

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD 317 – which includes portions of Park county.
  • HD 560 – which includes portions of Park and Sweet Grass counties.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the district(s) had been met.

These hunting district(s) will re-open for the hunting of all mountain lions for the winter season beginning December 1, 2012.
