Burris Introduces Three New Mounting Systems

Burris continues to solve the scope and sight mounting challenges of target shooters, multi-gun competitors and hunters with the introduction of the 30mm AR-Pivot Ring, AR-T.E.R. Extension Ring and XTR Quick Detach Tactical Rings.

“The AR platforms favored by tactical shooters is one of the fastest growing segments and we recognize the need for more versatile mounting solutions,” stated Rob Siemers, general manager. “With our expanded line of AR mounts, rings and sights, there isn’t an optics challenge we can’t solve.”

The new AR-Pivot Ring was designed to quickly and easily mount the Burris AR-Tripler directly in line behind the Burris XTS-135 SpeedDot with the option of quickly moving it out of the way for close-up shots. Its 30mm ring will accommodate other magnifiers as well. This combination is ideal for the close-quarter and longer-range shooting encountered on multi-gun shooting events. With the AR-Pivot Ring, you just flip the AR-Tripler to the side with a simple push of a button. To engage in longer-range shooting, simply flip the AR-Tripler to its upright position, and it automatically locks into place. The Quick Detach (QD) mount makes installation a snap. The AR-Pivot Ring’s suggested retail price is $120.

Helping to overcome difficulties caused by the short Picatinny rail of many flat-top AR configurations, Burris introduces the AR-T.E.R Extension Ring. The AR-T.E.R alleviates the issue of limited space on the rail when mounting multiple optics by allowing you to mount a red-dot tube-style sight ahead of the Burris AR-Tripler. It is milled from one-piece of aluminum alloy for increased strength and accurate alignment of the scope in the mount. The AR-T.E.R. comes with a Quick Detach lever for easy attachment, and the suggested retail price is $80.

Also new for 2012 are the XTR QD Rings. Available in both 1-inch and 30mm sizes, the new Quick Detach rings are offered in Medium (1/2-inch) and X-High (1-inch) heights. Designed for those who put a premium on reduced weight, while maintaining plenty of rigidity and scope changeability, they are ideal for use on just about any firearm with a Picatinny rail. The new XTR QD rings will retail for $120.
