Hornady Finds Success With 6.5 Creedmoore
OutdoorHub 05.31.11
(Grand Island, NE) – Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition continues to translate into success for match shooters – most recently at 2011 Snipers’ Hide Cup in Kingsville, Texas. The match drew 63 of the nation’s best tactical marksmen in the civilian, law enforcement and military communities.
The top two finishers, Geordie Richardson (1st) and Tate Moots (2nd), used 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition throughout the three-day event. The course is designed to challenge the top marksman by putting them through various tactical scenarios requiring mostly rifle use, and shooting out to 1,000 yards.
Overall, the ammunition dominated the field as Team Hornady shooters Rob Ormond and Kevin Drake took 4th and 7th place, respectively, meaning the 6.5 Creedmoor was represented by four of the top ten finishers.
The Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor was developed from the ground up to give competitive shooters a factory-loaded cartridge that would enable them to compete and win at the highest levels of competitive shooting. Available in both 120 gr A-MAX® and 140 gr A-MAX® loads, the 6.5 Creedmoor is designed for superior accuracy. This true match cartridge provides wind-defying performance that’s ideal in even the most challenging competition environments.
