Outdoor Retailer Attendees Hit the Slopes, Testing Newest Winter Sports Products at Annual All Mountain Demo

Outdoor Retailer’s All Mountain Demo (AMD) will bring together crowds of retailers and media to spend the day in the great outdoors, earning turns with hands-on product testing from more than 50 brands. Attendees will also enjoying great music, food and networking with snowsports-minded retailers, media and brands in the new Chill Zone.
In the afternoon, Outdoor Retailer will make an announcement about the near-term location of the twice-yearly trade shows.
The demos and the events at All Mountain Demo will be the media’s only opportunity during Winter Market to capture photos and video of the latest alpine, backcountry, snowshoe, avalanche beacon and other snow sport products in action, in an outdoor setting. Complimentary shuttles will take attendees from the Salt Palace directly to the resort.

Attendee will join iconic big mountain skier and Alaska heli-skiing pioneer Dean Cummings for his award-winning “Be Snow Smart” avalanche education program.

Outdoor Retailer Location Announcement
Outdoor Retailer Show Director Kenji Haroutunian will announce a decision regarding the near-term location of the Winter and Summer Market trade shows. Interviews opportunities will be available directly following the announcement.
AMD Nordic Challenge (All Day)
Attendees propel themselves through a fun and exciting track at the Solitude Nordic Center searching for four different challenge stations using the newest Nordic equipment. Shuttles will run constantly throughout the day to the Solitude Nordic Track and the demo area.
Backcountry and Snowshoeing Tours (All Day)
New this year, backcountry and snowshoeing tours (2-3 hours) with Utah Mountain Adventures (UMA) and Solitude will lead attendees of all skill levels from the All Mountain Demo base at Solitude into the world-class terrain of the Big Cottonwood Canyon.
