Summit Overview
Supporting bicycling in Indiana has never been more important! Please add your voice and ideas with other bicycle advocates, professionals, and enthusiasts by joining us for spIN 2013, the Indiana Bike Summit!
The summit is a collaboration between the Indiana Department of Transportation, the Indiana State Department of Health and Bicycle Indiana providing a mutli-day event of networking, collaboration, and education.
Geared to provide information to a wide variety of individuals. spIN 2013 offers something for those who work or play in a cog of the business we refer to as bicycling.
Whether your interest in biking is professional, personal, or both, the Indiana Bike Summit is for you!

Day 1
On-Site Registration/Packet Pickup/Dinner Groups We’ll be available for on-site registration, packet pick-up and to answer any questions you might have. We’ll also arrange several dinner group options with local hosts.
Sign-up sheets will be available for dinner options and all groups will depart from the Alexander.

Friday Speaker Series
The first full day of the Indiana Bike Summit features David Pauer, MNO with the Cleveland Clinic letting us know the answers to the question – “Can Your Street Help You Lose Weight?”.
Tom Huber,Senior Planner with Toole Design Group,will be providing an “Overview of the Updated AASHTO Bicycle Guide”.
The Indiana Bike Summit would not be complete without hearing from local community & business leaders on their experiences of the positive economic impact when Indiana invests in bicycle infrastructure, businesses & culture.

Join us for a networking reception with drinks, appetizers, and of course, a guest speaker or two.

Saturday Break-Out Sessions & Bike Ride!
The final day of the summit will begin with a welcome message followed by break-out sessions to include Advocacy 101, A panel discussion on How To Promote your Club, Event or Organization, Women & Cycling 1, and Women & Cycling 2.
We’ll wrap up the summit recognizing Indiana’s Bicycle Friendly Communities & Businesses.
Last but not last, no bike summit would be complete without a spIN, so weather permitting, we’ll enjoy a bike ride around Indianapolis.
