Montana Hunter Education Classes Scheduled for Libby, Whitefish, Bigfork, Eureka

Hunter Education Classes have been scheduled for Libby, Whitefish, and Bigfork in northwest Montana. All hunter education classes are free of charge. By state law, anyone born after January 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in Montana. To become certified, students must be at least 11 years old.
Whitefish: Register online at fwp.mt.gov, click education. Classes are held at the Whitefish Central School. Classes run from 7-9 p.m. on March 4, 5, 7 and 8. The field course is held on Saturday, March 9. Call Ronny Nail at 862-4509 for more information.
Libby: Register online at fwp.mt.gov, click education. Classes meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on February 6, 11, 12, 13 and 15. Classes are held at the Libby Elementary School, 150 Education Way. The field course will be held on Saturday, February 16. Lead instructor is Challis Crismore. Contact Bill Swagger for more information at 293-5256.
Bigfork: Register online at fwp.mt.gov, click education. First night of class is Wednesday, March 27, 7:05 p.m. at the Bigfork High School Music Room. The remainder of classes will be held 6-9 p.m. on April 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8. The field course will be held on Saturday, April 6. Call Rod Day for more information, 309-2293; or FWP at 752-5501.
Eureka: Register online at fwp.mt.gov, click education. First night of class is March 4, 7-9 p.m. at the Eureka Middle School Library. Classes continue from 7-9 p.m. on March 11, 12, 14, 18, 19, 21; field day is Saturday, March 16. Call Ron Hvizdak at 889-3791 for more information.
