The Outdoor Patriot Defends Private Property Rights and Deer Farming
Outdoor Patriot Show 02.29.12
The Outdoor Patriot Show welcomes award-winning outdoor television host Keith Warren for a one-on-one interview about deer farming and the recent attacks on the industry by the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA). This month’s show is now available online at www.OutdoorPatriot.com, Apple iTunes, Facebook, Twitter and hundreds of other online venues.
“The anti-hunting radicals have to love this! QDMA continues to launch attacks at the deer industry, saying ‘This is a battle we simply can’t afford to lose.’ But I have to ask….is fragmenting the wildlife industry, pitting one group of hunters against other hunters, redirecting valuable resources which should be used to defend our hunting heritage from Tofu Terrorists really QDMA’s battle royale? If so, it won’t matter if QDMA wins the battle, because we will ALL lose the war. Hunters must stand united!” said John Meng, host of the Outdoor Patriot Show.
In this episode of Outdoor Patriot, Meng also talks about the growing sense of entitlement among some sportsmen and their apparent disregard for private property rights.
“The entitlement mentality that is so prevalent in our society today now seems to have infected the outdoor industry. Apparently some sportsmen feel that hunting on someone else’s property is their right and that perhaps hunting land should also be an entitlement to be redistributed so Have-not Hunters can get their fair share,” says Meng. “We cannot allow ourselves to be sucked into the class warfare debate that’s fostering unrest and disruption in our nation today. As sportsmen, we’re all the same. It doesn’t matter if your rich or poor. The only thing that should matter is whether you love the outdoors and you want to preserve our hunting heritage.”
One of America’s newest and freshest voices speaking out for our outdoor way of life, Meng is an award-winning writer and editor, who has contributed to multiple outdoor television shows and published more than a hundred articles specific to the hunting and deer industries. He is president of the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to growing the outdoor industry and preserving our outdoor traditions through youth education and public awareness.
