The NEW HAMPSHIRE FARM & FOREST EXPOSITION takes place on Friday and Saturday, February 8-9, at the Radisson Hotel/Center of New Hampshire (700 Elm Street) in Manchester, N.H. “New Hampshire’s Greatest Winter Fair” offers commercial exhibits, educational sessions, student and exhibitor demonstrations, animals, an auction and activities for all ages. Stop by the N.H. Fish and Game booth to enjoy the wildlife display and learn how to make connections with wildlife in your own backyard. The GREAT MEREDITH ROTARY ICE FISHING DERBY will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 9-10, 2013. The club is providing all cash prizes this year. A grand prize winning fish (white perch, yellow perch, cusk, lake trout, pickerel, black crappie or rainbow trout) can be caught in any fresh water open to the public. As part of the event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, at Derby headquarters in Meredith, Fish and Game’s “Let’s Go Fishing” Program will present free hands-on sessions for children and their parents on the basics of ice fishing. N.H. Fish and Game fisheries biologists Don Miller and John Viar will also be on hand to collect valuable fish data at the derby weigh-in. Visit http://www.meredithrotary.com.
