USA Shooting Honors FMG Publications

USA Shooting presented FMG Publications with a framed Olympic shooting vest yoke signed by all members of the 2012 Olympic Shooting Team at the 2013 SHOT Show. The presentation was made in recognition and appreciation of FMG’s support and commitment to the USA Shooting Team for more than a decade.

“FMG’s partnership has been instrumental in raising awareness of our athletes, programs and the Olympic shooting sports through FMG Publications and participation at the Shooting Industry Masters,” said Buddy DuVall, executive director, USA Shooting Team Foundation. “FMG’s support has helped our shooting athletes excel in international and Olympic competition while representing our sport, country and industry.”

The yoke is part of the shotgun vest worn by all Olympic Shooting Team members. It is worn on the upper back, across the shoulders, and typically has the country identifier and competitor’s initial and last name.

“The extraordinary character of the athletes that represent the USA in shooting matches year-round make us proud to be associated with their efforts,” said Randy Molde, FMG Publications vice president of business development. “We’re thrilled to support the team any way we can.”

“We are honored to support the USA Shooting Team and will continue to do so as a way of promoting and perpetuating the shooting sports,” said Russ Thurman, Shooting Industry Magazine publisher and editor, who accepted the Olympic shooting vest yoke on behalf of FMG Publications.

The Shooting Industry Masters combines handgun, rifle and shotgun events in a fun, competitive format open to industry representatives only. USA Shooting Team athletes assist first-time shooters in the NSSF First Shots orientation, held the first day of the match. Select products auctioned off during the Masters support USA Shooting, and members of the USA Shooting Team also participate in the Rent-a-Ringer program, in which their shooting skills are available to Masters’ teams. Funds raised through Rent-a-Ringer also benefit the USA Shooting Team.

The 2013 Shooting Industry Masters will be held in Cody, Wyo., July 19-20. For more information, visit www.shootingindustry.com/masters.
