Northeast Coloradoans Sought for Sportsmen’s Group Feb. 28

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for citizens in the northeast region of the state to serve on a Sportsmen’s Advisory Panel.  An organizational meeting for the group will be held in Denver on Thursday, Feb. 28. The panel will discuss the concerns facing Colorado’s hunters and anglers and provide feedback on wildlife management issues in northeast Colorado. The feedback gathered will help Colorado Parks and Wildlife focus on which future opportunities hunters and anglers are interested.

“The Sportsmen’s Advisory Panel is a great opportunity for serious hunters and anglers to weigh in on the issues facing wildlife in our state,” said Steve Yamashita, northeast regional manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife. “Working with the constituents who directly fund our efforts ensures that we as an agency have mutual goals with the public for wildlife management.”

The meeting will also include the selection of two citizens to represent northeast Colorado at a statewide Sportsmen’s Roundtable that will meet twice a year.
