Video: Indiana Sheriff Conducts Magazine Tests to Challenge Capacity Restrictions

Boone County, Indiana Sheriff Ken Campbell recently released a video that explores the differences between magazine sizes. In the demonstration an experienced and novice shooter are given a variety of magazines and firearms to test on three paper targets; Sheriff Campbell then systematically challenges the currently proposed magazine ban point-by-point.

One scenario involves a bystander attempting to disarm the shooter during a reload–a major talking point for proponents of magazine capacity restrictions–while another involved a “New York Reload” where the shooter exchanged firearms instead of reloading.

The test was reportedly funded by ArmaLite, a gun manufacturer famed for their AR-10 and AR-15 rifle designs.
