Michigan Anglers to See New G. Loomis GLX Jig & Worm Roda at this Weekend’s Ultimate Sports Show

Expanding its GLX bass rods beyond crankbait and flipping models, G.Loomis introduces the new GLX jig and worm (JWR) and ShakyHead (SYR) rods. Along with being a major showcase for G.Loomis at this weekend’s Ultimate Sport Show at Devos Place in downtown Grand Rapids, the rod maker will cover the cost of your 2013 Michigan fishing license with the purchase any G.Loomis rod from participating dealers.

With blanks made from the graphite material that put G.Loomis at the forefront in fishing rod design and development in 1993 – and the first graphite made strictly to build fishing rods, the new GLX rods include 11 casting and nine spinning JWR models, and three ShakyHead spinning models.

The casting line-up includes four 6’8” and four 7’1” JWR rods in medium, medium-heavy, heavy and extra-heavy power ratings, and three 7’5” rods in medium-heavy and heavy power. Spinning JWR rods include a 6’ medium power, two 6’6” medium and medium-heavy power; three 6’8” in medium-light, medium and medium-heavy power; two 7’1” medium and medium-heavy power’ and a 7’6” medium power. The three ShakyHead spinning rods are all 6’10” in length, and offered in mag-light, mag-medium and mag-heavy power.

The rods feature an all-new G.Loomis-designed custom reel seats – a ‘mag touch’ trigger seat on the casting rods, a cork ‘custom grip’ on the JWR spinning rods, and an ultra-light reel seat on the SkakyHead rods. The blank-through-handle design takes that whole GLX sensitivity to the next level.
